Responsibilities For Senior Perception Engineer, Facial Recognition
- Lead development efforts on facial recognition systems
- Extract maximum value from sensors while being robust to occlusions, poor lighting and disguises
- Lead collection, labeling, and management of datasets for ML models
- Leverage state of the art models for facial recognition
- Perform trade studies for new sensors or processing approaches
- Analyze system performance in simulation and field deployments
- Probe neural networks to address edge case failures
- Design systems with self-diagnostic capabilities
- Contribute to machine learning infrastructure
Requirements For Senior Perception Engineer, Facial Recognition
- 5+ years of professional experience with ML for hardware products in safety-critical fields
- Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques
- Clear grasp of linear algebra, optimization, statistics, and algorithms
- Experience with deep-learning models, custom layers/operations, and edge compute optimization
- Extensive experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow or other ML frameworks
- Familiar with VLMs and multi-modal models
