Scale3c is seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement based in Kaunas. This role focuses on data warehouse optimization and management, requiring expertise in modern data engineering tools and practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company's data warehouse, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. They will work on converting business requirements into efficient data sets within the Data Lake and manage Snowflake data layers. The role involves extensive use of dbt for data modeling and transformations.
Key technical requirements include 4+ years of experience in data engineering, strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, proficiency with dbt Core/Cloud and SQL, and familiarity with Snowflake. Responsibilities For Big Data Engineer
- Maintain and optimize the company's data warehouse in alignment with established standards and best practices
- Convert business requirements into performant, reliable data sets in our Data Lake and maintain data layers within Snowflake
- Model data views and aggregates using dbt
Requirements For Big Data Engineer
- 4+ years of proven working experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, particularly dimensional modelling techniques
- Proficiency in data transformations with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud, SQL
- Familiarity with Snowflake data warehouse
- Knowledge of Git
- Analytical and result-driven mindset, strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
