Description For Sales Engineer

Scality, a leader in enterprise data storage solutions, is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team in Paris, France. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping organizations solve their biggest data storage challenges.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between Scality's innovative storage solutions and customer needs. You'll work closely with Partner Sales and Pre-Sales teams, enabling them to become Scality evangelists while directly engaging with customers to understand their infrastructure requirements and design appropriate solutions.

As a Sales Engineer, you'll be instrumental in qualifying opportunities, delivering product presentations, and conducting POCs. Your expertise in enterprise storage, particularly in large-scale solutions (Petabyte level), will be crucial in architecting solutions that optimize both technical and price constraints.

The role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and business acumen, with experience in global, multicultural settings. You'll be working with a dynamic start-up culture while maintaining awareness of local business practices. Your experience in enterprise infrastructure solutions architecture and storage systems will be vital in designing solutions for various industry verticals including Financial Services, Healthcare, Cloud, and Telco Service Providers.

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Qualifying opportunities and defining compatibility between Scality products and prospects' technical requirements
  • Enabling Partner Sales and Pre-Sales teams to pre-qualify opportunities
  • Engaging with Customers and Partners to collect information and understand Customer's infrastructure & requirements
  • Developing and delivering product presentations, demonstrations and POCs
  • Architecting solutions according to specified requirements
  • Assist Partner Sales teams in delivering Pre-Sales functions
  • Solution Training to Partners
  • Developing and maintaining deep understanding of Scality's technology
  • Communicating customer requirements to Product Management teams
  • Communicating Product roadmaps to Partners and Customers

Requirements For Sales Engineer

  • 5-10 years experience in Enterprise infrastructure solutions architecture and/or sales engineering
  • 5+ years experience in Enterprise storage, preferably with large scale solutions
  • Experience in global, multicultural organizational settings
  • Experience working with Large Vendor and Channel Partner organisations
  • Experience in designing solutions for specific industry verticals (Financial Services, Healthcare, Cloud, Telco, Media, Government, Education & Research)
  • Passion for supporting customers and sales people
