SciTec, a dynamic small business, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This role involves developing and implementing model-based systems engineering processes for a large Agile software development program. The ideal candidate will thrive in solving challenging engineering problems for critical national security objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288
- Mentoring staff in systems engineering methodologies
- Coordinating between customers, managers, developers, and engineering teams
- Designing systems architectures for remote sensor data processing
- Managing systems engineering staff and contractors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- 10+ years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, or remote sensing
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering
- 2+ years of experience with MBSE
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance
Preferred qualifications include experience with OPIR sensor processing, defense and aerospace systems engineering, Cameo/MagicDraw tools, Agile development, and program management.
