Responsibilities For Staff Cybersecurity Engineer

  • Evaluating customer cybersecurity requirements and identifying technical and procedural measures
  • Implement, document, and validate cybersecurity controls
  • Providing input to software product design to improve product hardening
  • Analysis of emerging advanced cybersecurity threats and development of countermeasures
  • Management and enhancement of secure software development lifecycle process
  • Identification and implementation of improvements to software development lifecycle and DevSecOps technologies

Requirements For Staff Cybersecurity Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, software development, computer science, or engineering
  • Must be capable of qualifying for a SECRET DoD or DoE security clearance
  • Experience influencing teams outside of cybersecurity to improve security posture
  • Must satisfy DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Technician Level III training requirements
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
