SciTec, a dynamic small business focused on national security and defense, is seeking a Staff/Sr. Staff DevSecOps Engineer to join their growing team in Boulder, Colorado. The position requires expertise in DevSecOps practices, with a focus on managing and implementing secure CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes orchestration, and various security protocols. You'll be responsible for managing complex deployment environments, implementing security scanning, and ensuring robust application delivery across development, test, and production environments.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of DevSecOps experience, strong knowledge of container deployment solutions, and expertise with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Python. Experience with security tools and practices is highly valued, as is familiarity with Linux systems administration.

Responsibilities For Staff/Sr. Staff DevSecOps Engineer

  • Manage integration, security scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks
  • Work with deployment teams to orchestrate deployments to development, test, and operational environments
  • Create, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines in gitlab-ci
  • Monitor CI pipelines for performance and resolve observed or reported issues
  • Implement and maintain version promotion of applications within CI pipelines
  • Integrate CI pipelines with development tools
  • Implement Continuous Delivery and execute deployments of applications into orchestrated k8s environments
  • Execute checkout and troubleshooting of deployed applications
  • Execute software release processes
  • Implement and maintain Helm charts
  • Ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed

Requirements For Staff/Sr. Staff DevSecOps Engineer

  • At least two years of professional experience in DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using CI/CD
  • Strong experience with Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes
  • Experience with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
  • Experience with Istio service mesh, Prometheus and Grafana
  • Strong experience maintaining deployment environments
  • Experience with authentication technologies like Keycloak
  • At least one year of professional experience using Python3
  • At least one year of professional experience using Linux operating systems
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
