Senior iOS Engineer

As a Senior iOS Engineer at Scribd, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the experience of our 2 million subscribers through two key iOS apps: Everand and Scribd. The Everand app provides access to over 7 million titles, including ebooks, audiobooks, podcasts, and magazine articles, offering a Netflix-like experience. The Scribd app gives access to over 100 million user-uploaded documents, including PDFs and other formats.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining the stability and performance of our iOS apps
• Working across our entire codebase to push the product roadmap forward
• Enhancing code quality and engineering practices
• Modernizing the technology stack and addressing technical debt
• Focusing on delivering an exceptional user experience

We're looking for someone with:

• 5+ years experience shipping iOS apps to the public
• Proficiency in Swift and at least one other programming language
• Skills in designing, building, and calling APIs
• Experience in optimizing app performance
• Ability to address technical debt and migrate codebase to newer technologies

Desired skills include SwiftUI, Objective C, building and maintaining XCode CI/CD pipelines, web technologies (Javascript, JSON, REST), GraphQL, and test automation.
