Selecta, Europe's leading vending solutions and specialist coffee services provider, is seeking a Field Service Engineer for their Technical department. Operating across 16 countries and serving 12 million people daily, Selecta is trusted by approximately 3,500 UK businesses to deliver quality beverages and snacks in various locations including workplaces, schools, universities, and hospitals.

The Field Service Engineer role is crucial for maintaining and servicing vending equipment to the highest standards. The position focuses on limiting equipment failures through proper service and maintenance, with the ultimate goal of achieving zero client complaints regarding technical reliability within their assigned area.

The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical knowledge, excellent fault diagnosis skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining professional customer relationships. They will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vending equipment, ensuring first-time fix rates, and maintaining technical documentation.

Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer

  • Diagnose and repair faults on a complete range of Vending Equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed at the first visit when possible
  • Review multiple fault equipment and prioritize persistent breakdown repairs
  • Maintain access to technical manuals/documentation
  • Attend training courses to maintain high workmanship standards
  • Maintain good customer relations and follow customer procedures
  • Maintain company vehicle in roadworthy condition

Requirements For Field Service Engineer

  • Full UK driving licence with at least 12 months driving experience and no more than 6 points
  • Strong electrical knowledge/experience
  • Technical background with strong fault finding and diagnosis skills
  • Ability to work safely on electrical equipment
  • Customer-focused with smart and professional appearance
  • Right to Work in the UK permanently
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to form and maintain working relationships with colleagues and clients
