Selecta, Europe's leading vending solutions and specialist coffee services provider, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their Technical department. Operating across 16 countries and serving 12 million people daily, Selecta is a trusted partner for approximately 3,500 UK businesses, providing beverage and snack services in various locations including workplaces, schools, universities, and hospitals.

The Field Service Engineer role is crucial for maintaining the company's extensive network of vending equipment. The position focuses on providing high-quality service to customers while actively contributing to business improvements through excellent equipment maintenance and servicing standards. The ideal candidate will work to minimize equipment failures through proper service and maintenance, with the ultimate goal of achieving zero client complaints regarding technical reliability within their assigned area.

Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer

  • Diagnose and repair faults on a complete range of Vending Equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed at the first visit and prevent further breakdowns
  • Review multiple fault equipment and prioritize persistent breakdown repairs
  • Maintain access to technical manuals/documentation
  • Attend training courses to maintain high workmanship standards
  • Maintain good customer relations and follow customer procedures
  • Maintain company vehicle in roadworthy condition
  • Monitor and address potential customer dissatisfaction

Requirements For Field Service Engineer

  • Full UK driving licence with at least 12 months driving experience and no more than 6 points
  • Strong electrical knowledge/experience
  • Technical background with strong fault finding and diagnosis skills
  • Ability to work safely on electrical equipment
  • Customer-focused with smart and professional appearance
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Right to Work in the UK permanently
  • Ability to form and maintain close working relationships with colleagues and clients
