Sentec, a Swiss-American medical device company founded in 1999, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their innovative team. The company specializes in respiratory care, utilizing a deep-tech approach founded on advanced science and avant-garde technologies for respiratory patients across care areas.

The role involves working on cutting-edge medical devices, focusing on three core platforms: transcutaneous monitoring, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, and electrical impedance tomography. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing hardware-related software, maintaining existing products, and ensuring compliance with medical device standards.

The ideal candidate should have several years of experience in embedded systems development using C++ and C, with a strong background in real-time systems. Knowledge of medical technology standards, particularly IEC62304, is highly valued. Responsibilities For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Design, development, verification and documentation of hardware-related software according to relevant standards
  • Maintenance and improvement of software for existing products
  • Collaboration in the definition of software requirements
  • Support in the creation of approval-relevant system documentation

Requirements For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Completed university degree in a technical/scientific field
  • Several years of professional experience in development of software with C++ and C for embedded real-time systems
  • Experience in electrical engineering, measurement technology, GUI implementation with Qt and LabView (advantage)
  • Knowledge of IEC62304 standard and medical technology experience (ideal)
  • At least B1 knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English
