Senior Software Engineer, Product Foundation

Sentry is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Product Foundation team, focusing on Alerts & Notifications and Ecosystem pods. The role involves building and maintaining features/integrations using React (TypeScript) and Django (Python) in their open-source codebase. You'll work on high-impact projects touching the entire stack, from event ingestion to search and storage systems, and surfacing data to customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing features with React/TypeScript and Django/Python
• Writing tests to maintain high code quality
• Setting up monitoring and alerting for application health
• Reviewing code and mentoring less-experienced engineers
• Writing user-facing documentation

The ideal candidate is a product-minded software engineer with 6+ years of experience building user-facing web applications and APIs. You should have strong experience with React/Typescript and working knowledge of Django/Python. You'll thrive in this role if you're autonomous, have a high level of ownership, and are excited about improving developer tooling.

Sentry offers a competitive salary range of $189,000 to $214,000 CAD, along with benefits including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage.
