Software Engineer - Traces & Explore Team

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Traces & Explore Team to drive the evolution of our core tracing, debugging, and application performance experience.

The role combines full-stack development using Python, Django, React, TypeScript, and Rust to build powerful debugging workflows. You'll be working on critical features that help developers identify and remediate problems efficiently. The position offers extensive collaboration opportunities across teams and exposure to Sentry's entire technical infrastructure.

As a product-minded engineer, you'll partner closely with Product Management, Design, and Engineering Leadership to shape and implement new features. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of engineering experience, with deep expertise in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems. You'll contribute to technical initiatives spanning multiple teams while mentoring others and driving engineering excellence.

Sentry offers a hybrid work environment with designated in-office days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) to facilitate meaningful collaboration. The compensation package includes a competitive salary range of $185,000-$220,000 CAD, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
