Description For Facilities Engineer

Sequoia Biotech Consulting is seeking a Facilities Engineer with a demonstrated understanding of facility systems and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will perform routine inspections, maintain documented records, and be on-call for emergencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and GMPs. This role involves scheduling and overseeing maintenance tasks, supporting construction projects, troubleshooting systems, and working closely with various departments. The position requires 2-6 years of Facilities Engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and familiarity with GMP and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, independent, detail-oriented team player with strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and oversee maintenance tasks for building systems and equipment
  • Support construction projects and work with PIDs, HVAC, electrical systems, and process flow diagrams
  • Perform emergency troubleshooting and repairs on various systems and equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain detailed records
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet facility needs
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively with minimal oversight

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of Facilities Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Facilities background preferred
  • Process Equipment experience
  • CAPEX experience
  • GMP experience
  • Strong understanding of facility systems and safety protocols
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and GMPs

Responsibilities For Facilities Engineer

  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee outside service providers for routine CM and PM Program tasks
  • Support with PIDs, HVAC, electrical, one-lines, and process flow diagrams (PFDs)
  • Support team with active construction
  • Ensure all CM and PM Program tasks are completed and documented properly
  • Perform, schedule, coordinate, and oversee emergency troubleshooting and repair on various systems and equipment
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities utilities
  • Maintain documented records of inspections, preventative maintenance activities, and repairs
  • Be on-call to respond to alarms and emergencies
  • Work closely with other departments to meet facility needs
  • Troubleshoot systems to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively with minimal oversight

Requirements For Facilities Engineer

  • Minimum of 2-6 years of Facilities Engineering experience or experience working as a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or Subcontractor
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Facilities background preferred
  • Process Equipment experience
  • CAPEX experience
  • GMP experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of facility systems
  • Adhere to all procedures, safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and be aware of emergency procedures
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
  • Strong collaboration, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, independent, detail-oriented team player
  • Good organization, initiative, and a collaborative attitude
