Description For Sensor Fusion Engineer, Autonomy

Serve Robotics is at the forefront of revolutionizing urban delivery through innovative sidewalk robots. As a Sensor Fusion Engineer in the Autonomy team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the onboard sensor-to-obstacle pipeline for their sidewalk delivery robots. The position combines expertise in multiple sensor technologies (cameras, LiDAR, RealSense) with strong programming skills in C++ and Python.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technology in autonomous systems, requiring deep knowledge of sensor fusion algorithms, real-time processing, and machine learning integration. You'll be responsible for developing robust perception pipelines that can operate efficiently on resource-constrained edge devices while maintaining strict latency requirements.

Serve Robotics offers a collaborative environment with industry veterans in software, hardware, and design. The team is agile, diverse, and focused on solving real-world problems through robotics, machine learning, and computer vision. Their fleet is already operational in Los Angeles, making commercial deliveries and receiving positive feedback from merchants, customers, and pedestrians.

The position offers competitive compensation between $150K and $200K, plus equity, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced engineers looking to make an impact in the autonomous delivery space. The remote work environment provides flexibility while allowing you to work on meaningful projects that are actively shaping the future of urban logistics.

This role would be ideal for someone with 3+ years of experience in sensor fusion applications who is passionate about autonomous systems and wants to contribute to a growing field. The company's focus on both technical excellence and user experience makes it an exciting opportunity for engineers who want to work on practical applications of cutting-edge technology.
