Responsibilities For Staff Platform Security Engineer

  • Lead technical security requirements for production cloud infrastructure
  • Lead threat modeling to define approach for operationalizing and automating security
  • Develop and implement runtime security measures for container environments
  • Define hardening and continuous assessment criteria for infrastructure stack
  • Design security tooling to identify system/software vulnerabilities
  • Develop automated checks for machine and container configurations
  • Support internal and third-party security penetration testing
  • Participate in Security team on-call rotation

Requirements For Staff Platform Security Engineer

  • 6+ years of experience as a security engineer or mix of security engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Deep expertise in Cloud Computing, Linux and network security
  • Strong knowledge of networking and internet protocols
  • Strong knowledge of secure authentication protocols
  • Scripting & programming experience for security automation
  • Strong experience with security tools and services within AWS and GCP
  • Deep understanding of Security in the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent time-management, interpersonal and communication skills
