Description For Software Engineer II (Chile)

Sezzle is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team in Chile. This role offers an incredible opportunity to make an impact within a growing FinTech company. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for solving challenging problems alongside a highly-motivated team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining innovative product features
  • Collaborating with product owners to gain insights and offer constructive suggestions
  • Participating in design/architecture discussions
  • Contributing to code reviews and mentoring other engineers
  • Working on scalable solutions and assisting in project planning and estimations

Requirements:

  • Experience solving technical problems as part of a team
  • Bachelor's in computer science (preferred) or equivalent related experience
  • Familiarity with modern Frontend Development, with React experience preferred
  • Ability to solve problems with backend-focused languages like Go or similar compiled statically typed language
  • Intermediate understanding of relational databases like MySQL

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of writing automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Microservice Architecture
  • Experience with software engineering tools and development methodologies
