The Senior Security Engineer will play a crucial role in protecting Shakepay's digital assets, infrastructure, and customer data from cyber threats. This position requires a seasoned professional with 5+ years of broad security experience and cloud expertise, particularly in AWS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing security solutions, leading threat modeling discussions, maintaining a Zero Trust environment, and participating in compliance audits.

Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer
- Design and drive high impact security solutions across Shakepay
- Be a subject matter expert and mentor across multiple security domains
- Manage security processes, services, and vendor relationships
- Lead threat modeling discussions for production and development systems
- Maintain and improve Zero Trust environment
- Build, tune, and automate alert responses in code
- Participate in on-call rotation and lead during incidents
- Participate in governance, compliance, and regulatory audits
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer
- 5+ years of broad Security experience (Enterprise & Operational Security, Incident Response, Offensive Security, GRC, Product Security)
- 5+ years experience in cloud environment (AWS preferred)
- Proficiency in a high-level programming language
- Clear sense of ownership and exceptional communication skills
- Experience in a highly regulated environment
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Fluency in English required
