Description For Mechanical Test Engineer

Shield AI is on a mission to protect service members and civilians through innovative intelligent systems, specifically their V-BAT vehicle. As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you'll join the Hardware Test Engineering team, where you'll play a crucial role in designing test solutions that ensure high hardware reliability. You'll work on developing in-house designed electrical and mechanical equipment for component and system-level testing, including ambient and harsh environmental condition testing.

The role involves designing production tooling, conducting thermal analyses, creating mechanical test fixtures, and gaining expertise in HASS, ESS, and HALT testing. You'll be responsible for gathering requirements, designing and validating test stands, and creating tooling for environmental testing of various aeronautical components. You'll work with engines, electric motors, circuit boards, and other critical systems.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering or related STEM field, with expertise in fundamental engineering concepts across multiple disciplines. Experience with CAD tools, particularly NX, is essential. You should have a proven track record of project ownership, delivering results, and working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the development of cutting-edge aerospace technology while making a meaningful impact on safety and security. Located in the Dallas Metro Area, you'll work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams, participating in design reviews and continuously improving testing processes. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $72,648 to $108,972 annually.

If you're passionate about aerospace engineering, have strong technical skills, and want to be part of a mission-driven team working on innovative solutions to protect lives, this role at Shield AI could be your next career step.
