As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you'll join the Hardware Test Engineering team, where you'll play a crucial role in designing test solutions that ensure high hardware reliability. You'll work on developing in-house designed electrical and mechanical equipment for component and system-level testing, including ambient and harsh environmental condition testing.
The role involves designing production tooling, conducting thermal analyses, creating mechanical test fixtures, and gaining expertise in HASS, ESS, and HALT testing. You'll be responsible for gathering requirements, designing and validating test stands, and creating tooling for environmental testing of various aeronautical components. You'll work with engines, electric motors, circuit boards, and other critical systems.
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering or related STEM field, with expertise in fundamental engineering concepts across multiple disciplines. Experience with CAD tools, particularly NX, is essential. You should have a proven track record of project ownership, delivering results, and working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
