Responsibilities For Propulsion Engineer II (R2855)

  • Support development, analysis, and testing of propulsion systems, engine components, and fuel systems for aircraft
  • Assist in developing system and subsystem requirements
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Assist in the preparation of verification and validation test plans
  • Contribute to system architecture development
  • Help produce technical reports
  • Assist with system, subsystem, and component trade studies
  • Perform analysis using hand calculations, CAD tools, and FEA
  • Support test campaigns
  • Use data and analysis to help establish acceptance criteria
  • Identify and recommend improvements to hardware development processes

Requirements For Propulsion Engineer II (R2855)

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Some experience in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or similar role
  • Basic CAD modeling experience
  • Familiarity with tolerance analysis, ANSI drawing standards
  • Understanding of system architecture for aerospace applications
  • Experience with hardware testing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
