Description For RF Engineer

Shield AI, founded in 2015, is a venture-backed defense technology company on a mission to protect service members and civilians with intelligent systems. They are building the world's best AI pilot, Hivemind, which has flown a fighter jet (F-16), a vertical takeoff and landing drone (V-BAT), and a quadcopter (Nova).

As an RF Engineer at Shield AI, you'll work on state-of-the-art AI hardware products that directly impact customer operations in the field. Your primary responsibilities will include designing test plans to characterize and integrate RF sensor systems under the guidance of a senior engineer. You may also work on projects involving antenna design, radio/GPS design and test, signal integrity, or analog design, depending on your interests and the company's needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working on real projects with hardware going to customers
  • Supporting RF sensor characterization and test for Shield AI's V-BAT
  • Completing product testing and verification, identifying problems, and implementing fixes
  • Opportunity to work in various electrical disciplines such as cameras, analog, digital, RF, and power

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), experience in electrical engineering (full-time, internship, co-op, or engineering club), strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, and excellent communication skills.
