As a Staff Network Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing network infrastructure for aircraft platforms operating in challenging environments.

The position demands expertise in network architecture for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), focusing on maintaining reliable communication between compute nodes, enabling high-bandwidth payload operations, and ensuring secure ground station communications. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology in contested, GNSS-denied environments, making this role both challenging and impactful.

The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, requiring you to design network architectures, implement communication protocols, and optimize performance for various mission profiles. You'll be working with state-of-the-art technology, including the V-BAT UAS platform, and integrating with multiple external networks including ground-based radio and satellites.

Responsibilities For Staff Network Engineer

  • Design and implement network architectures for UAS, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security

Requirements For Staff Network Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 7 years experience, or Master's with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years
  • Experience in designing and deploying network systems
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and communication systems
  • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols
  • Proficiency in network simulation and analysis tools
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles
  • Experience with Linux, scripting, command line tools
  • Experience developing C, C++, and/or Python software
