We're seeking an Electrical Engineer with Formula One-level work ethic to join our team in Austin. This role demands excellence in electrical design, from PCB optimization to motor control, working closely with firmware and mechanical teams. You'll be integral in bringing cutting-edge robotic shoe technology from concept to production, including overseas manufacturing collaboration. Responsibilities For Electrical Engineer

  • Responsible for electrical design from end-to-end for robotic shoes
  • Work with firmware team for architecture and code review
  • Interact with mechanical engineering team for integrated electro-mechanical system design
  • Write firmware scripts and example codes to validate hardware solutions
  • Travel to overseas manufacturer to bring prototype into production

Requirements For Electrical Engineer

  • Solid experience in PCB design and optimizing component placements
  • Experience in three phase BLDC motor control (FOC)
  • System integration experience of embedded systems
  • Experience with MCU and IC devices and peripheral circuitry
  • Solid experience in board bring-ups including reworking and soldering
  • Experience designing and testing board-level power supplies
  • Familiar with analog and power circuitry
  • Proficient with standard EE tools
  • Proficient in Altium Design
  • Experience in JTAG/SWO
  • Basic level of low-level programming
  • Experience in Cypress and ST processors is a plus
