Description For Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at Showpad, you'll play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for sales content creation, organization, and distribution. You'll work on expanding and refining our codebase, driving innovation for new features, and taking full ownership of writing functional, automated, and scalable code that operates seamlessly within our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and enhancement of backend features
  • Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and testable code
  • Design and implement cloud-native software solutions
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality
  • Optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration with backend systems

Requirements:

  • Team player
  • 3+ years of experience as a Backend developer
  • Extensive experience with backend programming languages such as NodeJS, PHP, or Kotlin
  • Ability to comprehend simple to complex (cloud) architectures and define improvements
  • Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS
  • Experience with the agile way of working

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with digital asset management and content management
  • Appetite to learn and help with frontend features (using Angular)
