ShyftLabs is seeking a talented Lead QA automation engineer to design testing procedures for our complex software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. The ideal candidate should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent project management skills.
As a Lead QA Engineer at ShyftLabs, you will:
- Oversee the QA team's efforts in API, load, and stress testing.
- Develop and implement QA strategies and plans, aligning them with overall project goals.
- Mentor and guide QA Engineers in best practices and testing methodologies.
- Work closely with the Technology Lead and Solution Architect to ensure thorough and efficient testing.
- Prioritize and allocate testing tasks among team members.
- Establish key performance metrics and track the QA team's performance.
- Lead the team in Agile ceremonies, ensuring a focus on quality at all stages of the development cycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related issues and queries within the team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7-8 years experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in API testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services such as CloudWatch, Lambda, SQS, and Data Streams.
- Proven experience in load and stress testing.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
