We are seeking an experienced PowerBuilder Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a problem-solving mindset, a strong background in working with cloud environments (preferably AWS), and the ability to lead the team through the process of upgrading legacy code. This role requires exceptional skills in development practices, object-oriented programming, and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Development, maintenance, and support of applications written in PowerBuilder 2022 and .NET with SQL Server as backend
• Developing and fixing database issues by writing/modifying stored procedures, triggers, and functions
• Contributing to regular code reviews and providing feedback to peer team members
• Following the Development lifecycle as per organizational guidelines
• Implementing and advocating for best practices in testing, code review, and technical design
• Applying advanced OOP principles to design robust software solutions
• Ensuring code is modular, efficient, and maintainable
• Mentoring junior developers on OOP best practices and principles
• Gathering requirements and information from stakeholders on development tasks
• Working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and assignments
• Refactoring code for better quality and application performance
• Active participation and engagement with peer team members and stakeholders in meetings
