Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support their PMW 160 CANES Engineering Support Services in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on DoD and Government Agency IT systems engineering, requiring extensive experience with enterprise services software, Microsoft technologies, and various programming languages. The position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000-$140,000 and requires a Secret security clearance.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in IT systems for DoD/Government agencies, with specific expertise in CANES engineering, Microsoft technologies, PowerShell, Python, and Ansible. Knowledge of Cisco systems and networking is essential, along with a CompTIA Security+ certification. The role involves developing solutions, investigating technical issues, and collaborating across organizations to improve system efficiency and stability.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer IV
- Provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology
- Develop solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancements
- Investigate and resolve issues across various applications and technologies
- Develop and revise system designs and architectures
- Collaborate with technical staff from several organizations
Requirements For Software Engineer IV
- 6+ years of experience providing support for IT systems in DoD or Government Agency
- 4+ years of experience with domain and enterprise services software for CANES
- 6+ years experience with Microsoft Server OS, Domain Controllers/GPOs, SharePoint, SQL, WSUS, RHEL, SCOM, WSL
- 4+ years of PowerShell development
- 4+ years of Python scripting
- 2+ years of Ansible experience
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS-XE Operating System
- Experience with Cisco products and Zero Touch Provisioning
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
