Silvus Technologies, a leader in Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) radio technology, is seeking a Wireless Communication Systems Engineer to join their mission of keeping heroes connected. This role combines cutting-edge wireless communications with real-world impact, working on their StreamCaster™ radios used by defense departments, law enforcement agencies, and major events.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work on advanced MIMO waveform technology and contribute to systems that operate in challenging environments from underground tunnels to high-altitude applications. The role requires expertise in wireless communications, signal processing, and MATLAB programming, with responsibilities spanning algorithm development, system simulation, and FPGA design support.

Responsibilities For Wireless Communication Systems Engineer

  • Algorithmic development, simulation, implementation, and testing
  • System performance simulation, benchmarking, and testing
  • Fixed point modeling and FPGA design and verification support
  • Support FPGA and Software development teams for hardware/software implementation and troubleshooting
  • Setting and tracking development schedules and tasks
  • Design and participate in lab and field testing and troubleshooting
  • Technical material preparation and documentation

Requirements For Wireless Communication Systems Engineer

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in wireless communications and signal processing, electrical engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wireless systems design and development
  • Knowledge and experience with RF propagation and channel modeling
  • Knowledge and experience with digital communication systems
  • Knowledge about signal processing algorithms, MIMO, OFDM
  • Experiences with fixed point modeling, implementation, and verification
  • Expert in MATLAB programming and simulation
  • Must be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen)
  • Background check clearance required
