Description For Mechanical Engineer

Simbe Robotics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Hardware Engineering Team, focusing on the development and improvement of their Tally autonomous mobile robots. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics technology in a retail automation environment.

The position involves working with a multidisciplinary team to handle mechanical design, testing, and manufacturing of autonomous robots. You'll be responsible for incorporating feedback from various teams and customers, managing the entire design process from concept generation to production implementation.

As a Mechanical Engineer at Simbe, you'll be instrumental in both maintaining and improving existing products and contributing to next-generation robotics platform development. The role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and design tools like Solidworks.

  • Understanding mechanical and electrical components within Simbe products
  • Solve issues and create improvements related to manufacturing and deployment
  • Participate in design process and design reviews
  • Ensure communication of changes with designs to vendors and key stakeholders

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer

Linux
  • BS/MS in mechanical engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Strong CAD design skills: Solidworks preferred
  • Experience with GD&T, 2-D Drawings, Assembly Drawings
  • Experience with Tolerance Stack-up Analysis, Failure Analysis, and Simulation Software
  • Knowledge of different manufacturing processes
  • Familiar with the engineering design process
  • Strong communication skills
  • Results-driven problem solver
