Senior Data/ Backend Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data/Backend Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing and integrating systems to retrieve, process, and analyze large volumes of data. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining data processing jobs using big data technologies
• Building and optimizing data pipelines to process and analyze large data sets
• Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to develop new data solutions and algorithms
• Implementing solutions in the cloud environment using technologies like PySpark, Databricks, and Airflow
• Monitoring data pipelines to ensure data integrity and troubleshooting issues
• Identifying and implementing process improvements for greater scalability and efficiency

Qualifications:

• BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• At least 4 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, Scala
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, and Airflow
• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or GCP
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
