Backend Engineer

SimpliSafe, a high-tech home security company, is seeking a Backend-focused Engineer to join their Monitoring Engineering organization. This role involves building next-generation monitoring experiences that surpass industry standards, leveraging best-in-class technology with a focus on people.

As a Backend Engineer, you'll work on the systems connecting customers to Monitoring Center specialists. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day bug fixing, feature implementation, and designing/architecting parts of larger projects. The ideal candidate should have experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, a collaborative mindset, passion for technology, and a strong customer focus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing features with a focus on reliability and scalability
• Collaborating with the team to find creative and robust solutions
• Developing and maintaining testing approaches for tool and service maintainability
