SimpliSafe is seeking a QA Engineer to advocate for product quality and represent the customer's voice during software development. This role involves planning and executing end-to-end test cases, identifying potential issues, and working alongside stakeholders to balance risk and delivery. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of SQA experience in an agile environment, hands-on experience with browser-based solutions, and proficiency in tools like Jira, Zephyr, Postman, and Cucumber. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. The QA Engineer will contribute to the software development process from its earliest stages and work with fellow QA members to drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities For QA Engineer
- Plan, create, and execute end-to-end test cases, employing both manual and automated techniques
- Identify potential issues to be corrected by development team
- Self-manage individual testing activities within the team
- Pragmatically work alongside stakeholders carefully balancing risk and delivery
- Create test plans/cases for select scenarios
- Document testing results clearly and accurately
- Contribute to the software development process at its earliest stages
- Team with fellow QA members in the quest for continuous growth and improvement
Requirements For QA Engineer
- 2-4 years of SQA experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Hands-on experience with browser-based solutions
- Experience with agile tools such as Jira and Zephyr
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment
- Hands-on experience with Postman, Cucumber, Curl or similar
- Impeccable eye for detail, with excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to identify Functional Use Cases vs Edge Cases
- Experience writing Functional and Regression Test Plans
- Understanding of SQA Best Practices
- Self-starter, motivated, organized, and confident
