Product Security Engineer

Sinch is seeking a Product Security Engineer to join their global team. The role involves ensuring the building of the most secure products possible. They are looking for someone with software development experience who wants to specialize in application security. The successful candidate will work with application security testing tools and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to shift security to the left.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with software engineering teams to ensure standard methodologies in application code construction
• Creating application threat models and validating security controls implementation
• Monitoring application security scanning systems output
• Planning and coordinating Application Development Security training
• Explaining software vulnerabilities and remediation options
• Occasional direct work with customers

Required skills and attributes:

• Solid experience in web application software construction using modern languages (Java, C#, Python, Javascript, Golang)
• Experience in application security (highly desirable)
• Knowledge in building application threat models and providing security controls
• Experience with various databases (RDBMS and NoSQL)
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 web application security risks
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with authentication, authorization, cryptography, and security vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of Source Code Management systems
• Experience with SAST/DAST/SCA application security tooling (highly desirable)
• Experience in the telecommunications industry (beneficial)
• Experience with public clouds and cloud security frameworks (preferred)
