Description For Software Engineer, Managed Services

SingleStore is seeking a Software Engineer for their Managed Services team to help define the future of data management. The role involves designing and implementing new capabilities for their cloud offering, focusing on networking, control plane, and scaling services. You'll work at the intersection of a highly performant distributed database, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with product teams, developing a world-class managed service, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate should have experience with Kubernetes, networking technologies in major clouds, and distributed systems. Proficiency in Go, Python, or C/C++ is preferred, along with 2+ years of SaaS product experience.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer, Managed Services

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, customers, and other engineers to ensure we deliver a high-quality experience
  • Develop a world-class managed service responsible for providing an innovative operational database solution in the cloud
  • Proactively contribute to the team's engineering process to assist with our ability to scale and deliver projects on time
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a welcoming team environment

Requirements For Software Engineer, Managed Services

  • Must have experience working with Kubernetes and/or containerized services
  • Must have experience working with networking technologies in major clouds like AWS, Azure & GCP, preferably using Private Links, Nginx, Envoy, Istio
  • Good to have experience working with distributed systems, preferably using Golang, Python, or C/C++
  • 2+ years of experience working on a SaaS product
  • Intellectual curiosity about investigating issues that impact business metrics
  • Passion for building high-quality products that are robust and easy to maintain in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
