As a SSr Software Developer, you'll be responsible for developing new features and improvements for their products, writing technical documentation, and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and NodeJS, with a focus on event-driven development and clean architecture principles. The position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a multinational team across LATAM. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00 CST (Mexico), with flexibility during new releases. Responsibilities For SSr Software Developer (Ruby on Rails & Node.JS)
- Develop new features and improvements for our products and services in a secure and well-tested manner
- Write detailed technical documentation
- Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Ensure code style, maintainability and best practices
- Mentor Junior Engineers to help develop their technical skills
- Confidently launch moderate-sized features and improvements with minimal guidance
Requirements For SSr Software Developer (Ruby on Rails & Node.JS)
- English level B2 or higher
- 2+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails and NodeJS
- Knowledge of PM2, Domain Driven Design and Clean Architecture
- Experience in event-driven development
- Self-management skills with excellent organizational abilities
- Critical, logical and mathematical reasoning skills
- Team work abilities
- Own computer equipment
- Experience with GCP (preferred)
- Experience with Kafka and/or Pub/Sub (preferred)
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) (preferred)
- Knowledge of common algorithms and data structures (preferred)
