We're seeking an Autonomy Engineer II to join our mission of enabling safe autonomous flight operations. This role combines cutting-edge technology with practical applications in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Air Traffic Management (ATM).

The position requires 3 years of autonomy engineering experience and offers an opportunity to work on groundbreaking solutions for airspace integration. You'll be responsible for developing autonomous air traffic management functions, from concept to prototype, while collaborating with product teams and software engineers to implement these solutions.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Robotics, with proven experience in algorithm development for autonomous systems. Responsibilities For Autonomy Engineer II

  • Lead end-to-end development of autonomous air traffic management functions
  • Collaborate with Product team and systems engineers to define requirements
  • Design and develop integration interfaces with software engineers
  • Specify and execute Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing
  • Drive innovation in autonomy solutions
  • Engage with external organizations and support technical publications

Requirements For Autonomy Engineer II

Python
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, STEM
  • Experience in algorithm development for autonomous systems
  • 3 years of autonomy engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++
  • Experience with R&D of autonomous systems algorithms
  • Development and testing in SIL simulation environment
  • Experience in air traffic management research
  • Knowledge of vehicle kinematics/dynamics and route planning
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, robotics, or autonomous systems
