Description For Senior Hardware Engineer

As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you'll lead the hardware team for the Strata program, managing all electronic hardware aspects. This role combines technical leadership with team management, requiring expertise in hardware certification, documentation, and system integration.

Responsibilities For Senior Hardware Engineer

  • Lead and manage a team of electronic hardware engineers, provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure the team meets project deadlines and milestones
  • Develop electronic hardware and software requirements and detailed interface specifications
  • Review and approve designs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory standards
  • Direct and review electronic hardware requirements validation activities
  • Establish best practices and processes for rigorous system design and verification
  • Monitor and guide supplier performance
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders

Requirements For Senior Hardware Engineer

  • B.S. in Engineering/STEM and 10+ years related experience in aerospace or telecom industry
  • Previous leadership or team management experience in electronic hardware development
  • Experience with Visio or Lucid charts for creation of block diagrams and schematics
  • Experience with RTCA DO-160 or DO-380
  • Experience with RTCA DO-254 for design assurance of complex electronic hardware
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in requirements management and system integration
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
