Description For Electrical Engineer, Harnessing

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in Harnessing at Skyryse, you'll play a crucial role in designing components that power one of the world's most advanced flight control systems.

Your responsibilities will include fabricating and testing wire harnesses, using 3D CAD for harness routing, creating 2D drawings for manufacturing, and working with Mil-Spec connectors. You'll also be involved in troubleshooting complex system issues, developing test procedures, and supporting avionics system integration.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or an Associate's Degree in a similar field, along with 3+ years of professional experience. You should have experience in designing and documenting harness drawings, wire harness analysis, and testing. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to solve complex design problems are essential.

Responsibilities For Electrical Engineer, Harnessing

  • Fabricate, test, and validate moderately complex wire harnesses and assemblies, including connector installations
  • Utilize 3D CAD to design harness routing on integrated vehicle models
  • Create 2D drawings and documentation for manufacturing wire harnesses
  • Interpret wire harness and PCB schematics while troubleshooting complex system issues
  • Develop, modify, and implement test and acceptance procedures
  • Support overall avionics system integration and subsystem verification activities
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines
  • Contribute to design reviews
  • Perform hands-on calibration, configuration control, and testing of electronic equipment

Requirements For Electrical Engineer, Harnessing

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering OR Associate's Degree in similar field
  • 3+ years of professional working experience
  • Experience in designing, documenting, and releasing harness drawings
  • General wire harness analysis, testing and qualification experience
  • Strong team working skills
  • Capability to solve complex design problems to tight schedules with minimal supervision
