Description For Platform Engineer (Software Engineer III)

Smarsh, a leading provider of digital communications risk management solutions serving over 6500 organizations, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their Fabric Engineering group. This role combines software and systems engineering to build and maintain secure tools and infrastructure that empower engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable platform infrastructure, writing and reviewing code, and optimizing systems for efficiency. They will work with cloud-native technologies, focusing on containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities For Platform Engineer (Software Engineer III)

  • Implement and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure platform infrastructure
  • Write and review code, develop documentation, and debug complex systems
  • Identify and differentiate between platform-related and application-specific issues
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with flexible hours
  • Optimize existing infrastructure for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability

  • Experience with Terraform and DevOps processes
