SmartBear is seeking an Associate Product Support Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves delivering technical support services to customers, working closely with development teams, and gaining knowledge of SmartBear's systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and solving technical support issues with external customers via various channels (email, screen share, live chat, phone, etc.)
- Creating, documenting, and tracking customer issues
- Collaborating with support colleagues and other internal teams
- Obtaining knowledge and skills to become proficient with SmartBear products
- Acting as a customer advocate and providing feedback to internal organizations
- Identifying ways to improve issue resolution and customer support
The ideal candidate should have:
- At least 1 year of experience working directly with customers
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with remote teams
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of modern web application stack (API, REST, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI, JSON Schema)
- Knowledge of at least one programming language
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or technical equivalent
