SmartBear, a leading provider of developer tools trusted by over 16 million professionals worldwide, is seeking a Customer Success Engineer for their Test Hub division. This role combines technical expertise with customer success, requiring a professional who can bridge the gap between complex testing solutions and enterprise customer needs.

The position demands a unique blend of technical prowess in QA automation, test management, and software implementation, along with strong customer-facing skills. You'll be working with SmartBear's suite of products including TestComplete, Swagger, Cucumber, and others, helping customers implement and optimize their testing workflows.

As a Customer Success Engineer, you'll be part of a dynamic team that goes beyond traditional support, building strategic partnerships with clients. The role involves becoming a subject matter expert in performance testing and test management, while working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales Engineering, and Development.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in technical implementation and customer interaction, with a strong background in QA automation, cloud computing, and modern development practices. You'll need to demonstrate expertise in UI automation tools, test management solutions, and CI/CD processes, while maintaining excellent communication skills to effectively train and guide customers.

Responsibilities For Customer Success Engineer - Test Hub

  • Become an expert in Performance Testing, Test Management and UI Testing workflows
  • Educate enterprise customers on product adoption and best practices
  • Serve as product subject matter expert and thought leader
  • Capture and report customer feedback to Product Management
  • Partner with Product Support, Product Management & Sales Engineering teams
  • Stay current with cutting edge SmartBear technologies
  • Work with CSM and sales teams for strong handoffs
  • Conduct 1:1 and group training sessions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience

Requirements For Customer Success Engineer - Test Hub

Kubernetes
JavaScript
PHP
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or similar technical degree (Master's a plus)
  • 5+ years of customer interaction and technical implementation experience
  • Proficiency in UI QA Automation tools, Test Management solutions, Automation Frameworks
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD processes, Bash/CMD shell scripting
  • Knowledge of API concepts, PaaS tooling (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • QA background in automated, manual, functional & non-functional testing
  • Experience with cloud computing & containerized deployments
  • Strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English required
  • Able to work 9-5pm EST
