SmartBear, a leader in software development tools, is seeking a Customer Support Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with award-winning tools like TestComplete, Swagger, ReadyAPI, and Zephyr, trusted by over 16 million developers worldwide.

As a Customer Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of customer interaction, providing exceptional technical support for the Zephyr Scale and Reflect team. You'll collaborate with support and development teams to address customer needs, enhancing your system knowledge and technical expertise. Your role will involve delivering prompt, courteous, and effective responses to customer inquiries across various channels, including email, screen sharing, and live chat.

Key responsibilities include documenting, tracking, and efficiently resolving customer issues, ensuring clear communication and consistent follow-ups. You'll also actively seek methods to improve problem resolution efficiency and customer satisfaction, serving as a customer advocate to ensure feedback is considered in product development.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 1 year of working experience. Strong English communication skills (B2 level or higher) are essential, as is the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms. You should have proven customer engagement skills, strong debugging and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Front-End fundamentals.

  • Provide exceptional technical support for the Zephyr Scale and Reflect team
  • Collaborate with support and development teams to address customer needs

Requirements For Customer Support Engineer

JavaScript
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of working experience
  • Work from the Bangalore office 1-2 times a week
  • Availability for rotating weekend shifts 1-2 times a month
  • Strong English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
  • Proven customer engagement skills with empathy and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of web applications and network technologies
  • Proficiency in Front-End fundamentals
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and software testing principles
  • Proficiency in REST API usage and basic understanding of SQL
  • Familiarity with Test Management tools and QA practices (desirable)
  • Experience with AWS (CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB) (desirable)
  • Experience with Jira, Salesforce, and GitHub (desirable)
