Description For Product Support Engineer

SmartBear is seeking a Product Support Engineer (P2) to join their global support team. This role involves troubleshooting and solving technical support issues for customers, working closely with development teams, and continuously expanding technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of customer-facing experience, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of modern web application technologies. Key responsibilities include resolving customer issues via various channels, collaborating with internal teams, and being a customer advocate. The role requires familiarity with technologies such as Typescript, React, GraphQL, REST, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes/Docker, nginx, OpenAPI, and JSON Schema. The company has a global presence with offices in Somerville, MA, Galway, Bath, Wroclaw, and Bangalore. This position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and may require working US shifts.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of customer-facing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with modern web application technologies
  • Understanding of OpenAPI and JSON Schema
  • Knowledge of authentication methodologies (SAML, SSO)
  • English proficiency (B2 level minimum)
  • College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language
