Description For Senior Product Support Engineer, BugSnag

SmartBear, a leading software quality tools provider, is seeking a Senior Product Support Engineer for their BugSnag product - a software stability platform trusted by major companies like Airbnb, Slack, and Microsoft. Processing over 1 billion crash reports daily, BugSnag helps engineering teams make data-driven decisions about feature development and bug fixes.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work with highly technical customers, helping them integrate BugSnag's open source notifier libraries into their applications. You'll be part of a global support team providing 16x5 email support, along with dedicated slack channel and screen share options for enterprise customers.

As a Senior Product Support Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with development teams, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and have the opportunity to contribute to product improvements. The position requires strong technical skills across multiple programming languages and frameworks, with the chance to develop in-house tools and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities For Senior Product Support Engineer, BugSnag

  • Provide in-depth technical support to customers via email, GitHub, screenshare, and live chat
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical support issues
  • Collaborate with support colleagues and internal teams
  • Identify bug fixes and define implementation tasks
  • Develop internal tools and enhance documentation
  • Improve support processes and issue resolution
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Work with Platform and Backend Engineering teams on bug fixes and product enhancements
