Description For Launchpad Engineer

Smartly Launchpad is seeking a Launchpad Engineer for their Vulcan team, which focuses on developer tooling. This 6-month learning experience is designed for rising developers looking to jumpstart their DevOps career. As part of the Vulcan team, you'll work on various aspects of developer tooling, including CI (using GitHub Actions) and Smartly's own development environment management tool (Devbox).

You'll be a full-fledged team member from day one, taking ownership of product development and solving ad-hoc customer problems. The Vulcan team consists of five engineers dedicated to helping other Smartly developers become more effective in their day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build software products for large online advertisers globally
  • Work closely with a team of bright colleagues
  • Expand technical abilities within Smartly's tech stack
  • Provide monthly technical support to customers

Requirements:

  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Web development experience (internships or personal projects)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Recent graduation or at least third-year studies in a relevant field
  • Experience and interest in infrastructure, DevOps, or developer tooling
  • Understanding of typed languages and testing
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from the Helsinki office 3 days a week
