Smile Digital Health, ranked #19 on Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 for 2024, is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their mission of #BetterGlobalHealth. The company specializes in FHIR-based data liberation platforms, making it easier for healthcare stakeholders to collect and exchange data effectively.

The role involves designing, implementing, and operating production-grade services across various cloud vendors and infrastructure platforms. You'll work with multiple teams including Information Services, Privacy & Security, Engineering, and Product to ensure infrastructure needs are met. This position requires expertise in Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and infrastructure automation.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in DevOps and infrastructure, with specific expertise in Kubernetes and cloud services. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining critical infrastructure, troubleshooting support escalations, and ensuring key KPIs are met. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For Senior Cloud Engineer

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deliver complex cloud solutions
  • Provide cloud and platform provisioning expertise
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure code
  • Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in sprint planning and technology implementations
  • Provide on-call support and incident management
  • Ensure accurate reporting of working hours in Netsuite

Requirements For Senior Cloud Engineer

Kubernetes
Python
  • 5+ years experience in IT, devops, infrastructure maintenance
  • 3+ years supporting Kubernetes services including HELM
  • 2+ years supporting critical infrastructure
  • Experience with Powershell, Python and Bash
  • Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKD, CKS)
  • Experience with security, networking, database, monitoring
  • Excellent communications and collaboration skills
