SMS Environmental, a leading UK Water Hygiene specialist with over 23 years of experience, is seeking a Plumbing Remedial Engineer to join their expanding team. This hybrid role offers a competitive base salary up to £38,000 with OTE up to £48,000. The position involves delivering high-quality remedial plumbing services across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting water testing, tank disinfections, and ensuring compliance with water safety standards. You'll work closely with Water Treatment Engineers and build strong client relationships. The role requires a City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 qualification in Plumbing & Heating, along with relevant experience in remedial plumbing.

Responsibilities For Plumbing Remedial Engineer

  • Deliver high quality remedial plumbing tasks
  • Conduct water testing and control work, including sampling
  • Partner with Water Treatment Engineers to undertake tank disinfections
  • Effectively resolve problems at site level
  • Identify and report non-compliances at client premises
  • Report water system conditions to Account Managers
  • Support and assist in development of new plumbers and colleagues
  • Build effective relationships daily with a variety of clients

Requirements For Plumbing Remedial Engineer

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating qualification
  • Remedial plumbing experience, either from domestic or commercial environments
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team or as a lone worker
  • IT skills, with ability to use IPad technology with accuracy
  • Full UK, Manual, Driving licence
  • DBS check required
