Software Engineer

Sofar is revolutionizing ocean intelligence through the world's largest privately owned network of marine weather sensors. We're seeking a product-driven software engineer to join our team working on the Wayfinder product, which serves the maritime transport industry by providing critical decision-making tools for sea captains navigating global waters.

The role demands a unique blend of technical expertise and customer understanding. You'll be working with a diverse team of engineers, ocean scientists, and product designers to create software solutions that directly impact maritime operations. Our technology stack is modern and robust, featuring TypeScript and React on the frontend, with backend services built using TypeScript, Express, Postgres, and Nest.js, complemented by Python-based data processing services.

As a full-stack engineer, you'll have the opportunity to architect and implement solutions across the entire technology stack, from data storage to user interfaces.
