Softeta is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team in a remote capacity. The role focuses on overhauling and maintaining large data infrastructure, building datasets that empower data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will create and maintain data pipelines, challenge 'table creep', and push for a single source of truth. With at least 5 years of experience, you'll work with technologies like AirFlow, DBT, and cloud platforms, particularly GCP/BigQuery. The position requires strong technical skills in data engineering, excellent communication abilities, and experience with large-scale data operations. You'll be part of creating an elegant, robust, and well-maintained data infrastructure while working in a flexible environment with modern tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities For Senior Data Engineer
- Create and maintain pipeline architectures in AirFlow and DBT
- Assemble large and/or complex datasets for business requirements
- Improve processes and infrastructure for scale, delivery and automation
- Maintain and improve data warehouse structure
- Adjust methods, queries and techniques for large data environment
- Adopt best-practice coding and review processes
- Communicate technical details to stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve data anomalies
- Develop and maintain documentation for data products
Requirements For Senior Data Engineer
- Advanced Degree in computer science, mathematics, data science or related fields
- At least 5 years of working experience as a data engineer
- Proficiency with AirFlow, DBT, DataFlow or similar products
- Strong knowledge of data structures and data modeling
- CI/CD pipeline and MLOPs experience
- Experience with very large data sets
- Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP/BigQuery preferred)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
