SOGECLAIR is seeking an experienced Automotive Application Engineer to join their team in a hybrid work environment. This role combines automotive engineering expertise with software development, focusing on simulation and ADAS systems. The position involves working with OEM/Tier1 suppliers and research institutes, providing technical support and developing simulation models.

The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of automotive engineering and software development, creating and qualifying dynamic vehicle models and ADAS systems. They will collaborate with an international team, particularly the French office, while working autonomously with customers. The role requires strong technical expertise in automotive systems, simulation tools, and programming.

Responsibilities For Automotive Application Engineer

  • Work autonomously within the customer environment and suggest effective solutions
  • Collaborate with French team through daily scrums and regular updates
  • Analyze customer requests for support related to SCANeR simulation environment
  • Provide on-site customer assistance and training
  • Design and develop simulation models & scenarios
  • Create and qualify dynamic vehicle models and ADAS systems
  • Manage work assignments, productivity, and quality
  • Ensure timely delivery and effective time utilization

Requirements For Automotive Application Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Controls, Automotive, or related Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in vehicle dynamics or ADAS systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of chassis and powertrain mechatronics architectures
  • Knowledge of sensors models (RADAR, Camera) and communication protocols
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux environments
  • Programming skills in Python and C++
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
