Solarvest Holdings Bhd is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This role represents an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and fresh graduates to enter the renewable energy sector.

The position involves hands-on work with solar and electrical systems, requiring a blend of technical expertise and project management skills. As a Site Engineer, you'll be responsible for overseeing various aspects of solar installation projects, from initial site visits to final commissioning.

Key responsibilities include conducting site assessments, preparing technical documentation, managing material procurement, and coordinating with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and authorities. You'll work extensively with both DC & AC electrical systems, requiring sound technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least one year of experience in electrical industries, though fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply. Knowledge of AutoCAD and basic electrical systems is essential. The role requires having your own car for site visits and a willingness to travel.

Responsibilities For Site Engineer

  • Conduct site visits with follow up proposal and report to installation site and interconnection facilities
  • Prepare bill of material (BOM) for DC, LV, & MV electrical system
  • Manage material purchase and inventory
  • Provide technical support during tender process
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, and cross departments
  • Manage sub-contractors work and quality
  • Implement and manage design changes
  • Handle licensing and permits documentation
  • Coordinate with grid operator & authorities on power grid interconnection
  • Conduct test & commissioning of electrical systems
  • Review project deliverables
  • Implement safety procedures and best practices
  • Organize post mortem meetings and provide recommendations
  • Technical documentation and report writing

Requirements For Site Engineer

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience in electrical industries
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Must have a car for work-related travel
  • Willingness to travel to job sites
